From “On The Water” To “On The Road”, Davis Has Covered The World. Jason has won numerous awards, including two Emmy Awards in 2006 for Magazine Program (“Family Reunions”) and Documentary (“Spelling Bee”). In 2005, Jason won two Emmys for Documentary (“On the Road to Costa Rica”) and On-Camera Host. That same year, Jason won the Northwest Broadcast News Association Eric Sevareid Award for Public Service (“Hope for the Cities”). In 2004 he won a regional Edward R. Murrow award for a documentary on the Stillwater prison, called “The Inside Story”. That same year, he won three Emmy Awards for Documentary (“Soaring on Mended Wings”), Magazine (“On the Road Composite”) and Program Host/Non-News. In October 2000, Jason was inducted into the NATAS Silver Circle for twenty-four years of contributing news reports, feature stories and documentaries to Twin Cities’ television. The Silver Circle is the highest honor awarded by the National Television Academy. It celebrates a lifetime of excellence in the broadcast industry, honoring individual contributions both to the television community and to the community at large. In addition to the Silver Circle Award that year, Jason took home the Emmy in two categories: Public Affairs (“On the Road to Cuba”) and News Documentary (“Searching Seoul”). In 2007 Jason once again won an Emmy for the best On Camera Talent Program Host/Moderator.
